Joy on Failing

An examination result was displayed, a boy stood near the notice board to see his results, he closed his eyes remembering every dear loved ones especially God who helped him during his preparation, he was very confident about his success as he has given everything to reach his target. Suddenly a girl came running and began screaming the topper's result, she gave a grave look to the boy, it rent her heart to see him in this condition. Pitifully she whispered in his ears with amiable words, that he has FAILED...

Fail! It is the most excruciate word in this competitive world. Everyone in this world wants to be a winner and get efficacy, and rightly so, as they invest all their tangible as well as intangible things upon their preparation.

This blog is not about giving away tips or mantra for achieving success or how to convert dreams into reality, but this about realizing the feelings, the hidden happiness which a person could extract on being failed. Failure in this context does not only belongs to any examination but also to events happening in our life. The anxiety , the impounding of our palpitating heart with a sudden gush of blood through our veins, this types of tremendous inner body movement is usually felt when our outcome is displayed.

When you are very desperate towards achieving your dream, and in the process you sacrifice everything which would cause hindrance, no matter how much it is close to your heart, no matter how much inner strength you require, but you still manage to do away from them, and thus you have completed every task to achieve success and dreamt of your success everyday and night and thus your vision can understand only success. This is the point when the person is at its peak level of one's confidence. But if any how or because of some misfortune, you do not get what you have thought, you deserved, i.e. you FAIL... The heart is broken, a despondent mist surrounds you making your visibility zero, here the world becomes mute and moves with mild tempo, and you plunge into the deepest part of your heart.

But also here a real test awaits you, the most stringent, the strongest, and even tougher than the test you failed. In this test no one would be there to support you, no mentoring, no coaching could help but you. Mind you, if you get through this, you will be in your elated state of heart. A sense of pleasure which is even greater than which you would have got by after winning earlier, but most importantly, by this you would have understood the most important rule of life, "Never give up". The test of starting all it over again. This utmost taste of life can be felt only by failing immensely, an analogy can be taken from a candle which vanishes after its illumination is maximum, a judo person hurts himself most when he tries to break the log of bricks but could only manage to provide slightly less amount of force which was required to break. Here it means that the person who fails after cramming everything for the success, feels this unique taste which not everyone is privileged to encounter. This also buttress people's strength and thinking and satisfies a person that one was true to oneself.

...The boy, hearing the result, stood still, for some time he seemed to spur the inner violence of an uncontrolled vanity which his weakened body could hardly contain. But then he smiled and went back.
